Under the title "David Koresh, Car Nut"
Some excerpts...
"....The only tangible legacy left by Koresh, aside from acres of scorched Texas ground, is his black Camaro. Since his last day on earth, it has been vandalized and partially stripped. Local attorney Gary Coker, who is representing 10 surviving Branch Davidians, blames the feds for releasing some pent-up fury following a memorial service held on the charred grounds for grieving federal agents, four of whom were killed at the outset of the Waco siege in February.”
“It had a Momo steering wheel,” said Coker, “But it was stolen.” So too, were the air cleaner, the Hurst shift knob, the cap from the power steering pump, the cigarette lighter, the knobs off the aftermarket Kenwood stereo, the license plates and the gas cap. The front bumper was somehow bent, the driver’s door was dented, and the taillights were broken. Someone tried to carve off the VIN plate and failed, and instead sliced up the dash. Coker- who successfully defended Koresh in a murder trial five years ago, said has witnesses to many of the allegations and may seek prosecution. “If you or I did that,” he said, “we’d be in jail”
……
"Clearly, though, as evidenced by his ’68 Camaro and some lesser Camaros and Corvettes that were awaiting restoration, Koresh, once a familiar cash-paying client at Waco speed shops, loved cars."
"Tim Madigan, author of a Koresh biography called ‘See No Evil’, said this: 'His passion for cars probably eclipsed his love of high powered weaponry and musical instruments.' That’s really saying something." – Steven Cole Smith

Interesting to see what's come of it.
