3. I agree, it was a tough year though, he was up against Morgan Freeman |
|
in Shawshank Redemption, and Gary Sinise in Forrest Gump.
But I have to give it to Jackson, his role in Pulp Fiction was the best.
Saddly I can not remember who won.

6. Good movie, but Landau should never be forgiven for |
|
the crap TV he did in the 60's.
They just gave it to him over the others cause he is old, and we assume SLJ will have more good movies.

7. I agree that they just gave it to Landau |
|
kinda of like an honorary Oscar for all the years he has given to the business.

5. Martin Landau for Ed Wood. |
|
Now I love me some Martin Landau (for his Mission Impossible days), but sometimes the Academy likes their sentimental favorites, and it was Landau that year--he'd never won before.
Eh, it's okay. It was a hard year, but Sam Jackson really owned that part and defined it. The others gave good performances, but Jackson took that character to another level, IMO.

1994 was the Oscar year of the far less-deserving FORREST GUMP. Fucking Hollywood....
