Fox news strikes again!
He said the reason the story blew up was because Fox news came up and in their report said the Town (Nelson, BC) was supporting the monument - which they were not. They weren't donating any money or land to it.
So, end result was the hub-bub about it.
Actually I spoke to him (editor) ten minutes before Fox was supposed to come and interview him on the whole thing. Let's see if they fuck up again.
EDIT: Also, he said since the real story came out, people think the town has back down. So they have been getting letters saying stuff like "I'll never visit your town cause you pussies backed down!"

He said even CBC and everyone messed it up. He spoke to the guy today and they aren't positive if they're moving it.
