Movies so "dated" it's sad
What are some movies that are so so dated it's ridiculous. Here's one. I was watching Fright Night II yesterday for the first time. The second head vampire looks like David Bowie and roller skates around. ROLLER SKATES. Sorry, but when I think roller skates, I think of a 10 year old girl from the fifties.

4. I used to love roller-skating - I was really bummed when they shut down
the rink here in town.
We had a couple who were in their 70s who came out to skate every Monday (Christian music night) and skate-danced for HOURS.
They were sweet!
Skated every weekend just about in high-school (mid-70s)

But for a vampire movie???? Yikes! That is pretty...uummm....silly??

8. Warriors & Star Wars
Warriors is about NYC gangs - they show up for a rally of some fellow who supposedly has the ability to stop the gangs from fighting. During the course of the rally, this fellow is murdered and word on the street is that the "Warriors" did it. (Of course, they didn't.) So, the whole movie is this gang trying to get back to their home turf in Coney Island without getting whacked.

Star Wars... great movie and I love all the hero mythology, but it still cracks me up to see the squares around the space fighters.

14. Star Wars: fantasy alternative universe with cheap energy.
That's my theory.

Very 70's, but bound to make a comeback.

Still, it will age better than the current generation of computer-chic.

I should have put that under hte "guilty pleasures" movie thread because it's great fun. Though the lead actor is awful.
