2. I am most definitely not watching. |
|
I don't need to see Bush make an ass of himself anymore only to hear 'experts' say how well he did...
oops - sorry Liv_Tyler. There I went being serious again...

3. I'll come to DU later for analysis |
|
and read the transcript. But I'm just too nervous to watch it in real time.
And I won't be going anywhere near cable opinion tonight.

5. Tonight will be my first debate party ever. |
|
(I'm using one of my three allowed school absences tomorrow so that I can attend tonight.)
I'm going over to a friend's apartment, where we will play Bush Debate Bingo (complete with accompanying shots of Goldschlager &/or Triplesec) and then deal with the spin for the remainder of the evening. I expect to get totally bombed for the first time in months. That's how I'll cope..

7. there isn't enough alcohol in the world to induce me to watch it--will be |

disgusting enough just hearing the spin about how wonderfully chimpy has done afterwards (besides, it gets very expensive replacing tv's after bricks have been heaved through them)

14. That's exactly how I feel. The last four years have made me |
|
a nervous wreck. Each day we hear of something new the Republicans have done to try to keep power. It is a nightmare for me as well as many others. One minute I think I will watch; another minute and I think I can't. I will never watch the whorespin after the debate. We have been sold out in this country. I really wish there was something we could do about the media. Other than getting a hundred thousand people or more to picket the networks and cable stations outside their places of business, I don't know what to do. In my mind I already have my sign made: Quit the Lies--Be a true American.

They way the rules have been set out, I kinda feel like "What's thepoint?" And it's not a debate. It's a 90 minute joint press conference.

13. I've considered not watching it... |
|
...especially knowing how structured and sanitized it is going to be. I'm mostly not looking forward to listening to Bush speak. I'm sure it's going to be like "Bush Concentrate", all the bullshit of the last four years crammed into one unbearable telecast mascerading as a debate. Maybe I'll just MUTE the TV when Bush speaks and only listen to Kerry.

Nothing positive can come from watching it. I'll just get aggravated or depressed. Who needs it. Bush makes me sick. I'll monitor DU and can catch the rerun on Cspan if anything funny happens.
The only post-debate analysis that I'll watch is the Daily Show.

I get nervous watching that kind of thing live.
If Kerry fucks something up I'd rather hear about it at DU.

39. I would watch it except for two reasons: |
|
I have a BGLAD (Bis Gays Lesbians and Allies for Diversity) meeting at Boise State University (in Idaho) tonight at 7:00--9:00 Florida time. We are looking down the barrel of a homecoming parade gun and I think that I, as the president, have to be there.
I don't like looking at *'s face, I don't like listening to his voice. I can't stand the way that he can't put a coherent sentence together. If the Republican president could think on his feet, I'd probably have more respect for him. At the moment, that's not happening.
