5. There's also something called Bextra. |
|
The orthopedic guy said I should just finish the prescription and I only had six left.

7. bextra worked well and quickly for me the time i needed it |
|
It's Rx though so might want to review any possible side effects with your doctor. It is not an opiate and didn't interfere with my clarity of thought.

Good thing they've pulled Vioxx. Funny that the FDA was protecting the drug companies and not the public. That's gotta change.

3. I took it for a long time |
|
I hope it didn't do any damage, though I know that I have one valve that is a little weak.
But I wouldn't take it anymore. I find that Aleve works just as well.

4. I have a question, Cheswick |
|
I know that, as a Workers' Compensation claims adjuster, I would, without question, pay for a new prescription of a new drug to replace the Vioxx. Do you know if health insurance carriers will do the same WITHOUT a new co-pay?

6. I've only taken it a couple months.... |
|
Plus, I had a stress test last month and everything was clean.
Aleve did nothing for me, but my problem is a nerve compression in the left shoulder with bone spurs in the joint, and possibly a slight rotator cuff tear.
Good luck. I am happy you stopped taking it.

8. I took it for six years! |
|
Had 4 shoulder ops in 5 years and VIOXX worked best at taking the edge off. Stomach couldn't handle the narcos after awhile so started taking VIOXX in '98. I stopped a year ago because I was worried about liver damage. Had a liver panel (sp?) and all was well but never started backup with the VIOXX. Glad I didn't.
This is not good news for a lot of people. :-(
