SNL: "An Evening at Camp David" |
|
by the fevered mind of Kitty Kelly
Did anyone else see that?! Anyone still watching SNL? Damn. For those of you who didn't see it it was a grainy film of Shrub having a booze and drug party at Camp David. Skynyrd's "That Smell" is pling on the stereo, Shrub is dancing in a cowbot hat, he's got a fifth in one hand and a doobie in the other. Poppy and Babs walk in chase everyone out. Then Shrub gives Babs and Poppy a toke.
The film was grainy and it was far away so the actors looked like dead ringers. It was hilarious!

and yeah, the actors looked just like bush father, mother and son
for people who had turned the show off they will be disappointed they didnt see this
i thought gw looked a lot like him, but then i saw barbara, and that was pretty unreal too. remember this was to have taken place in 1989.
just as a side note on snl: i should say i enjoyed ben affleck, thought he was good with the material given him, esp when he played james carville. he was great then

4. Same here. It looked JUST like him. |

I thought for a split second they were breaking some major shit, LOL. Barbara Bush was eerily cast too....it wasn't so much funny to me, it was very uncomfortable--because it could have been real.

Also the cameo of Darrell Hammond as " Bill Clinton " was funny along with Maya Rudolph spoofing " Teresa Heinz-Kerry " . I thought the Kerry impression could use a bit more work . And I also thought Will Ferell makes a better Dubya .
And yeah the Camp David sketch was all too eerie real looking . That looked just like Barbara Bush ! LOL !
