why would you want to mix expensive vodka with anything but maybe ice?
...call me a bumpkin...but just not getting it.
Okay, I shared my frustration,...
but, I'm a LIBERAL, and I don't mix good vodka (except maybe with ice)

my next one will be neat. I haven't tied one on for several months, and tonight I'm going to let all the stops out...well, maybe just a few...I'm getting too old for that sort of thing.

I haven't had a Budweiser since I moved away from Virginia 11 years ago. I used to save the labels. I'm in Minnesota now and I drink micro-brewed stuff these days. The booze is a back-up.

used to stay up all night slamming Buds and arguing politics. He stood somewhere to the left of RFK on social issues and a little to the right of JFK on defense issues. But then, he was an Irish Catholic who thought Malcom X had a lot of things right. "No one will give you your freedom and dignity, if you are a man, you will take it."
Malcom and my father would suggest that you cannot give Iraq democracy, for they had not yet risen to strike down their tyrant. They can therefore be expected to surrender it cheaply, because they had not taken their freedom and dignity.
I remember how he sneered at the idea of "Vietnamization" of that war. (Dad worked for DoD, so that was a professional opinion.) He was right. I can only imagine what he would have said about Iraq.
Pardon me, but recent alcohol and reading have spun my mind back through many memories. I raise a glass in your honor ...

and I don't question "taste," (they're all good) but most vodkas are not from the original potato. Look on the shelves. All those really expensive names are "grain spirits."
The only one I've found in my area is "Luksusowa" from Poland.
If you're 'grain avoidance,' then potato vodka is what you look for. hahahaha.
