Obviously.

Seriously though, it's a term used to demean those who subscribe to conspiracy theories. A tinfoil hat allegedly will keep "them" from reading your mind.

It doesn't work though. I have three on right now and they're still in my head.

7. Folks with schizoform type mental diseases
Some schizophrenics are reported to delusionaly feel that they can prevent "the man" from picking up their thoughts if they cover the top of their heads with tin foil. "The man" could be the government, aliens, or whatever.
