Why do attachments get deleted in my e-mail? |
|
I admit, I'm pretty computer illiterate sometimes. I have a problem... People have sent me some e-mails with Word documents attached and when I open the email it says "OE removed the following unsafe attachments...." I've searched all over to figure out how to change settings or whatever I need to do to get these files through. I really need them because they are going in my monthly Democratic Newsletter! That's why I was hoping maybe someone would care to help me. It's the pre-election issue with all the voting recommendations, information on polls, etc. Help!
PS One lady who is trying to help me keeps sending emails that I never get at all. She read my email address back to me a number of times and she has it right! WTF?!

1. its because of the way you have your mail set up. |

in outlook (thats your mail program)
1. click on tools 2 click on options 3. click on security 4. unclick "do not allow attachment to be saved or opened.....
that should take care of it for you.

Don't know why I didn't see that....I was looking at that stuff. Do you think this will help the instance of the lady whose mail doesn't come through at all? I can't figure her problem out. She doesn't even attach the docs, just pastes the text into the body of the email.

tab and un check that box too. it should say "block images and other external content..."
although i don't know why the mail would not be allowed dto be delivered. Try sending her an email and have her reply to yours just to make sure she has the correct address.
