1. I thought it seemed like mostly people were joyful
over having JS on crossfire.

3. It's a holiday over there!
Jon just shut Tucker Carlson and corporate American media up! He ambushed their show!

5. That's true - there were a bunch of happy posts
but all day it's been one big catfight over post subjects. It is my observation that many people have completely lost their senses of humor. Not that I blame them.

2. "Everybody was kung-fu fighting"
Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting Lyrics

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they fought with expert timing

There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing

(repeat)..make sure you have expert timing
Kung-fu fighting, had to be fast as lightning

4. See, I started a couple of hours ago ...
hiding any of the threads that had 'Mary' or 'Zogby' in the subject line. So all I see are Sinclair boycott threads, Rove at the grand jury, and Jon Stewart calling Tucker Carlson a hack and a dick on Crossfire. I love the 'hide thread' button -- it's my friend!

6. Hiding is cool. A bunch of other posters are into chastizing
anyone who mentions 'Mary' or 'Zogby' or even 'Pat Buchanan.'

I feel like I'm surrounded by school marms with rulers.

8. That's kind of compulsive, I agree with you.
There are times I have to force myself to just step away from the computer and go do something else. When you're so upset about something that you don't want to think about it anymore, you can hide the threads, visit another website or go make a sandwich -- some people like to keep at that stuff, and that's their prerogative! That's what the 'hide thread' function is supposed to be here for.

9. yeah it seems like people just parrot what the media is
reacting to... instead of discussing issues in a reasonable way. I was having my car inspected this am and the TV in the dealership was showing The View with "discussion" of this as the Hot Topic. I think people just rant and flail and make it very gossipy, without really thinking about the content of what was said.
