Following the link within you'll find that they've since fixed the typo.

Anyway, I've never been much for all the assorted variants on Republican used here (repuke, etc., though I kind of like replicant), but this is one that I can get behind. It contains the idea of puling (= whining, more or less) as well as a suggestion of pews. I got a kick out it at least.
