Probably play the Olympic theme by John Williams, or "We are the Champions" or any other happy song.

edit: missing word in post title

The "Hallelujah Chorus" at full blast would be appropriate.

14. Purrrrfect. Here are the lyrics!
So long sad times
Go long bad times
We are rid of you at last

Howdy gay times
Cloudy gray times
You are now a thing of the past

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on
From now on ...

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So, Let's sing a song of cheer again

Happy times
Happy nights
Happy days
Are here again!

Greatest American Hero theme

turn Michael Moore's song for dubya in Farenheit 9/11 against dubya.

Look at what's happened to me,
I can't believe it myself.
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world,
It should've been somebody else.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

It's like a light of a new day,
It came from out of the blue.
Breaking me out of the spell I was in,
Making all of my wishes come true ue ue.

Believe it or not,
I'm walking on air.
I never thought I could feel so free eee eee.
Flying away on a wing and a prayer.
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me.

16. Ray Charles' version of
"America the Beautiful." Yep.

Oh beautiful, for heroes proved,
In liberating strife,
Who more than self, our country loved,
And mercy more than life,

America, America, may God thy gold refine,
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain devined.

And you know when I was in school,
We used to sing it something like this, listen here:

Oh beautiful, for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties,
Above the fruited plain,

But now wait a minute, I'm talking about
America, sweet America,
You know, God done shed his grace on thee,
He crowned thy good, yes he did, in a brotherhood,
From sea to shining sea.

You know, I wish I had somebody to help me sing this
(America, America, God shed his grace on thee)
America, I love you America, you see,
My God he done shed his grace on thee,
And you oughta love him for it,
Cause he, he, he, he, crowned thy good,
He told me he would, with brotherhood,
(From sea to shining sea).
Oh Lord, oh Lord, I thank you Lord
(Shining sea).

17. I know it's offbeat
but Fire, by Hendrix (I think that's the title), as in "Let me stand next to your fire..." Why? I think I think I fell in love with John Kerry (as a candidate) when they played this at his rally when he won the New Hampshire primary, and all the firefighters were in the audience cheering him on. I was pumped, and that song brings back all the optimism I felt, and the happiness. Oh God, I hope so badly he wins...

21. I know it's been used before...
but I will definitely be listening to Fleetwood Mac -
BEST. CAMPAIGN. SONG. EVAH!

If you wake up and don’t want to smile,
If it takes just a little while,
Open your eyes and look at the day,
You’ll see things in a different way.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

Why not think about times to come,
And not about the things that you’ve done,
If your life was bad to you,
Just think what tomorrow will do.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

All I want is to see you smile,
If it takes just a little while,
I know you don’t believe that it’s true,
I never meant any harm to you.

Don’t stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here,
It’ll be, better than before,
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone.

Don’t you look back,
Don’t you look back.

Great jumping tune. :)

Anything to replace Killing Joke's "America," Oingo Boingo's "Winning Side," David Bowie's "1984," Lords of the New Church's "Open Your Eyes," Fun Boy Three's "The Lunatics Are Taking Over the Asylum," Eurythmics' "SexCrime (1984)" and finally Arcadia's "Election Day" that's been playing in my head when I even get a glimpse of BushCo right now :P

My ex and her husband like country, drives my son nuts, he likes that I listen to rock. To give you an idea, I quit listening to Metallica because they were too *mellow*. It's cool though, he likes the old rock, especially Queen, and I've introduced him to Blue Oyster Cult, AC\DC and we both really like Devo.. Go figure! I think I'll try some Jethro Tull soon....

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it’s all right

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it’s all right
It’s all right
