I have social anxiety disorder. I get nervous like a motherfucker. I have been laid many times and I still get nervous. There is a trick, and you have to work at overcoming your anxiety.
But, don't let her see that you are not confident. Act confident in yourself, even if you are sweating bullets. You can even play the shy angle, but if you want to hook up, do not let her see you are anything less than confident in yourself. Girls like shy guys, but not guys who think they are weak.
Try it, even though it is hard.
