The most important thing I forgot.
ONCE! that I had to pick up my then 4 year-old son from pre-school. It was during my divorce and I was living 45 miles away - had been working in "the city" that day and drove back home at which point I remembered - and immediately called the school - the good Nuns were taking care of him and I got a sever but deserved tongue lashing from the principal. Made it back to town in record time, though still 2 hours late. After another nasty talking to by the Nun in charge had to suffer the same from the estranged wife - OUCH!
Never ever did that again! To this day from time to time, my now 22 year-old son who survived the trauma mentions it in jest - well at least I think it's in jest.
