2. Of the ones I've heard, "To The 5 Boroughs" is my favorite. |
|
I haven't heard "Paul's Boutique", but I've been told it's their best one. "TTFB" is just an incredible, straight-forward hip-hop record, without any of the genre-bending tracks like on "Ill Communication" and "Hello Nasty".

"Paul's Boutique" is a great, great album. "Check Your Head" is fun just because they realized they were good once they picked up the instruments. And "Ill Communication" I love because of the time of my life when I listened to it.
The B-Boyz are great. One of the best live shows I've seen: L7 and House of Pain opening for the Beastie Boys. WOOT!

answer. Critics' darling.
But Ill Communication is their best record, followed closely by Check Your Head.

8. paul's boutique is one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.. |
|
genius production by the . The samps used on this album are amazing in their depth and quantity. My collection of jazz and funk was deeply influenced by researching the artists that were used. The samp for the opening track, "To all the Girls", is borrowed from Idris Muhammad's "Loran's Dance", and is one of the illest chills you could ever wrap your mind around.
