Do you get a flu shot each year?
I don't.

And if I did, looks like Furious George says I don't need one this year anyway.

1. I did, but I am taking my chances this year. I am immune deficient but
cannot see standing in the cold for 8 hours with 600 other people waiting for the 200 shots that they have at the local grocery store turned clinic as a good thing for my health either. I'll just wash my hands continously and use a lot of anti bacterial lotion. It is a very serious thing this shortage, but what can I do now? :hi:

3. I've had one once
I think they mainly push them for older people. Not this year, of course. :-/

I have asthma and flu tends to turn serious with me pretty quickly. Not this year. Thanks, Georgie!

9. I started getting them after I had kids.
It is baaad news when you get really sick and you're responsible for a couple of little one. They will suck the life out of you on a good day, but it is really bad when you are so sick you can barely raise your head and the kids are yelling, mooooommmmmmyyyy, I want my juice, moooommmmmmmy, I need to go potty, and on and on.

I did not get a flu shot this year, they are rationing. I got one for my youngest, and would have liked on for my four year old, too, but she is old enough that she is not considered high risk. We will be washing lots of hand here, too.

I work in a bookstore. I swear sick people go to the Doctor's, then the grocery store for their O.J. & stop at the bookstore to pick up something to read while they're dying in bed. So, I get hacked on, sneezed at & handed germ infested money. Anti-bacterial soap is my friend, but I go for a little extra mojo, too.
on edit: I won't get one this year though. I would rather see the elderly & young taken care of.

11. No, I hate needles, only got it once as adult
For me, the flu isn't that big of a deal even though it was very unpleasant for the first couple days. I got it once in college. I am at lower risk of getting it now that I don't live and work so closely to so many people.

12. Yes - I'm immunosuppresed.
I still fight off infections rather well, all things considered, but the doctors say not to risk it, and I don't.

Mmmm... drugs to combat the side effects of other drugs... yay!
