The yankees suck. The yankee fans suck. The whole idea of them getting any player they want sucks. I wouldn't hold the fact that the yankees are in New York City against them....but I hate that place as well. Only good thing over there is the pizza. Go Boston Redsox.

I can't stand the idea of the Yankees being able to throw ass-loads of money at any player they want. Same goes for the Lakers. I always call them the Yankees of Basketball. I tend to cheer for underdogs anyway.

I feel the exact same way--if this were any team but the Yankees or Lakers, I wouldn't hesitate to feel their pain at being laid so low in the face of their tradition of winning. But they act as though their money gives them some sort of divine right right to win everything all the time.
I hope the Yankees to lose on that level, as usual. But the fact that Boston is also Kerry country sends the irony of the situation into the stratosphere. If the Bosox hold on to win and then win the World Series, I think the fundies could be convinced they've received a sign from God that He endorses Kerry, LOL!
