1. Hi, sweetie. How long does the effect last?
You're doing quite well for not being able to see. :-)

Actually, the effects are dwindling already. And I can see better if I tilt my glasses just so.

You should see the new glasses I'm getting!

5. So you're half blind now - what's it like seeing like a freeper?
I guess technically, they're completely blind. As well as deaf.

And stupid.

if you're a teacher, you're in big trouble.

16. Everything OK?
Hoping you'll say that the checkup went well and everything looked good!

Laura

BTW, they do have drops to reverse the stuff that dilated your eyes. I ask for them whenever I have to go in!

18. About those reversing drops
...why wouldn't the optometrist have given me those automatically? That just doesn't make sense--especially since I told him I was going to work and was going to be staring a computer screen.

19. No fun.
I second the "how are you typing this?" question: when I have my pupils dilated, I'm useless for the rest of the day.

22. Ooooh! I Hate That... It's Most Annoying

It's very difficult to focus on ANYTHING... especially anything that gives off light (like a monitor or TV screen)... so I hope you can read this!

But now we know that I've got a cataract in my right eye that's almost "ripe" enough to pluck out and put in an artificial lens.

What was your diagnosis? Is everything okay?
