I just got done watching "The Day After Tomorrow". I didn't want to see |
|
it, but my son did. I have to admit, it was excellent! I really enjoyed it...except I wish it wasn't raining outside. :scared: Los Angeles please tell me you have sunny skies...

1. I thought it was great! |
|
It held my attention throughout. of course, we knew the script would be a little weak and that the special effects would be the whole show but I thought it had a good story nonetheless.

2. I rented it and before it was over |
|
I had to turn the heat on. Just looking at all that snow made me cold. The special effects were great, the story line weak but not bad, it gave a lot of food for thought is the really good thing about it.

4. Seriously, call me crazy |

but I got so into that movie and how it was all cold and snowy, that I expected when I walked out of the theater for it to be 20 below and snowing except I saw it in July and it was 90 and humid!!

13. Hope you're not crazy, 'cause that was my reaction exactly. |
|
Took a brief "period of adjustment" when I got outside the theater where it was clear, sunny and warm. No humidity in these parts! I really liked the movie. Course, I've sorta been an Art Bell "fan" for a few years now.

3. The special effects were amazing. I also think they did a good job |
|
with the bureaucratic angle. I think the V.P. did a fine job of playing a Cheneyesque ass. Except he could admit he was wrong. :hi:

I watched it, but I found the premise hard to swallow. I couldn't obtain 'suspension of disbelief' long enough to really get into the spirit of their environmental statement. Great special effects and a passable story line, though. I wish the VP had been a lot more repugnant and snarly to reinforce comparison with Uncle Fester, too!

7. Oh I could. The special effects more than made up for any questions |
|
I had with regard to plot. I kind of like it that the premise is hard to swallow, otherwise I'd be up all night watching the weather channel. ;)

11. Yeah, I See Your Point There |

I believe the scenario could happen, but it wouldn't occur in a matter of days as they depicted. Just as well that the producers didn't cause people to be alarmed unnecessarily.

the scary wolves?
We're watching it right now, and the wolves in this movie are SCARY! Maybe that's where the B/C campaign got their idea to try to scare us with wolves.
Except they used cute fuzzy ones in a beautiful forest instead of mangy hungry ones on a ghost ship.

9. We were kind of laughing when they showed up...thinking about the ad |
|
and all. Yes, these wolves are more believably scary.

12. My husband was disappointed that I returned the DVD today. |
|
"But honey, it was due today!" He said he enjoyed the thought of having a minor ice age. "Sweetie, their's wasn't minor." It's hot and humid in Texas today.

14. great movie, for it's kind... |
|
Just saw it a week ago and was most pleasantly surprised for a couple reasons:
- They didn't save the x good FX til 10 minutes before the show was over, like many do.
- Explained how mammoths in the frozen artic had flowers in their tummies.... This one spooked me big time the fact that the cold was coming from an 'inverted hurricane' carrying outerspace degrees with it. yikes.
The Donny Darko kid did well, I thot.
