When Kerry wins are you going to rub it in anyone's faces? |
|
People that you know in real life, that is?
The reason I ask is because we have this "friend" (we aren't just crazy about him) who voted for Clinton twice and then bush in 2000 and is voting for the dumbass AGAIN this year (don't ask me, I don't understand).
Well, a while back he told me WHEN bush wins he's going to show up on our lawn and hoot and holler and dance around and rub it in our faces. I looked at him very seriously and said "I certainly hope not, because I would never do that to you."
He said he was just kidding, lighten up, blahblahblah.
Well he mentioned it again the other day and I brought up what happened last time he said it. I told him AGAIN I wouldn't do that to ANYONE I know. It's just tacky and completely without class. I'm going to be happy enough knowing Kerry won, I will not have any need to act like an asshole about it.
Well then he got all testicley with me when I said I wouldn't feel any need to act like an asshole about it and that's when I got to tell HIM to lighten up, blahblahblah.
So. Would you do that? Rub it in anyone's face? I meant it, I honestly won't. I'm going to be too busy crying tears of joy.

Though I might make a couple of snide remarks to them a year or so down the road, when things start stabilizing a bit.

2. Not me. I'll immediately refocus on DeLay and taking him and the GOP down. |
|
When Kerry beats Bush, DeLay becomes our next target, as he will be the de-facto leader of the GOP at that time. We must immediately redirect all of our efforts towards defeating him and reclaiming a Democratic majority in both Congressional houses in 2006.

Almost my entire family consists of knuckledragging theocrats.
I think at Christmas dinner, I'll throw-in overdramatic claims like, "Kerry was chosen by GAWWWD!"
It'll be so so so sweet..

I will be bawling my eyes out of relief and joy and hope for a better future.
I think this will be one of my lifetime's greatest nights of catharsis. All of it building-up over the past 4 years, finally released in one drunken, hectic, nerve-wracking evening.
I've never been a big fan of crying, but I'm looking forward to this.

I guess it's just not my style. Like I said, I'll be too thrilled with his winning to concern myself much with any bush voters at that point.

I won't give them the satisfaction. Instead, I'll be working with the local Democratic party to start taking back the country from the nutcase Right. The job isn't going to be finished if Kerry wins; it'll just be getting started.

10. It'll be almost too anti-climactic for me. |

My overwhelming sense will be one of relief, most likely. If anything, I'll be trying to console my freeper friends.

13. Now I won't go as far as consoling! LOL! |
|
But I won't flaunt it either. It'll be a fact and they'll know it. No need to flaunt unless they act hateful about it first. Then I'll flaunt.
But the idea of actually going over to his HOUSE that night and yelling and screaming on his lawn that Kerry won? He would REALLY do that to me if bush won, I have no doubt.

this election business seriously enough. I'll bet he doesn't even know where Bush stands on some issues. It's more of a ball game to him. You, knowing what hangs in the balance, understand the implications of this election. It's nothing to joke around about.

Not to all of them, but I'm making a list of obnoxious freepers I've had to put up wtih for the last four years (including a couple of family members) and I fully intend to be a total asshole about it. I will laugh and dance on their front lawns and rub it in with great glee, I don't care if it lacks class. They've got it coming.

22. All the rightwing creeps who frequent Las Vegas sportsbooks |
|
That accounts for virtually all the regulars -- white, cynical non-voters who dream of something for nothing via wagering on sports. Multimillionaires once their next 15 team parlay hits, and therefore well taken care of by Bush and cronies. I can taunt and ridicule them without hesitation because most of them are perpetually broke and owe me money.

is for Kerry and who is against. In this place (Missouri) no one wants to talk about the election. It's hanging in the air like a bulbous bag of sulfer attached to the elephant in the living room. Where will we land? I don't know.

I will be so humbled. I was born in 1964. Not old enough to remember Carter's election. I have spent most of my life under Republican presidencys. I felt so overjoyed when Clinton won. Those were the best years of my life. I'll never forget "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow". That will be ingrained in me until I die! I will be so happy. I don't expect miracles from Kerry and I feel we have a lot of work to do after the elections. I am going to get some of the finest alcohol and me and my hubby are going to celebrate at home! We will be so happy to be rid of this president. I've worked so hard to get Kerry elected and to get the current regime out, it will be beyond relief.
But, no, I treat others as I like to be treated so i wouldn't be like that. Republicans were so mean during Clinton's time in office that I will quietly be happy that they get what they deserve. Their karma needs to return back to them. I'm sure they will remain relentless and the Kerry bashing will be just as bad as it was for Clinton. Instead of working together, they will continue to do the same as they have been (and they don't understand why we've been so against this president?). This president has been exceptionally bad and equally as devisive as his followers. I've never felt so much of a disdain for a presidency.
I'll get smarmy but only if they do first.

Don't think they will stop being annoying after Kerry wins. The Grey Davis recall probably gave them lots of ideas. And they will always have Rush Pimple-butt to cheer them along.

Oh hell yeah! I'm going to be all up in their loser faces the way they were to me when they stole it from Gore and when Dean was blasted in the primaries.
revenge will be sweeet! I'll be all subtle about it like "Hey what happened to Bush?" and I hope the door doesn't hit them on their way out!
and I am going to tell them Kerry is coming to take their guns, their tax dollars, their God, their women, and turn their men gay!
YES!!!! this is going to be sooooo awesome! and I'm still a little hungover from last night so bear with me. :P

I would dearly like to see a real discussion about lessening the hateful polarization in this country. I'd like to see a new start in this country...and Kerry as President would begin that process.
