9. the AZ elections are going to be interesting |
|
AZ registered voters were up 21% this year. People don't generally register to vote when they're happy with the status quo.
One byproduct of the enormous population growth down here is that the population has trended democratic. The GOP is still plenty strong down here, but AZ is very much in play.

In Ohio. I don't know why diesel is so much more. It's usually about the same as regular unleaded. But there you go.

...an unease in the middle east. The US uses about 700 million gallons a day, this means we are paying $350 million dollars a day in fear money to the oil companies.

it has creeped up over two bucks. Avg is around 2.03 for 87 octane. Funny how Shit-for-Brains says it isn't his fault. And BTW, I heard the biggest lie yet from him in a byte from one of his (taxpayer supported) campaign stops. He actually said we have more money in our pockets thanks to him. Hey Shithead - how can that be possible with so many people out of work? The moran must have thought he was in Bombay or New Delhi.

I didn't even need gas, but I got some anyway. I couldn't beat that price. Near my job, it's about $2.20 or so.
(For folks in Seattle, this was the Shell on N 46th St. and Fremont Ave.)

I think I bought there on Friday-maybe not-maybe thursday. That's why I always bought there, always paid cash and it used to be a nickel cheaper, but since I got sick, my freeper brother (hey, proof they aren't all ALL bad) gave me a gasoline credit card to use, and they stopped the discount at some point.

33. Maybe it's a one-day a week thing? |
|
I used to always go to Mr. J's Deli Mart on 46th and Leary Way in Ballard/Fremont. They used to have the cheapest gas - almost always under $2/gal. But it's been higher and higher lately, so I don't know what's up with that.
God, my parents were down in Buckley visiting my aunt a couple of weeks ago and paid $1.89! I was trying to do the math - is it worth it to make the trip down there to fill up? Maybe not, but I couldn't believe the price! :D

She's actually institutionalized down there at the Rainier State School. But we go down to visit her as often as possible. She's getting older and has had some health problems, so my parents try to go at least twice a month (although they're not in the greatest shape themselves). It's hard for me to visit during the holidays due to my retail work schedule. But I go down as often as I can. Next time I'm going to find that Arco station and fill up! :D
