God, I hate women who let men make them a door mat... |
|
What is wrong with these women? UGH...My roommate's good for nothing, piece of shit fiance is now saying that he might not get his transfer to come up here after they get married, so she'll have to move back to Dallas after next semester. They don't have Pharmacy schools in the area. We think he just wants her as a stay at home mom, which in their culture means that she has no say in anything and all that 1950s bullshit. Anyway...so she's going to give up her education because of this boy she's known for 8 months. The reason we hate him is because he acts like a child, then turns it all around so she'll apologize and feel bad and he blames her when he emotionally abuses her. He's exactly like her father who treats her like she's his maid. UGH!! Why do women allow themselves to be treated this way!? I'm so frustrated!! Duckie

and she'd rather live unhappily than to get rid of that ass. I told her how to fix her problem because I was tired of hearing her bitch about it. But she just told me it wasn't going to happen. I said, ok, be unhappy the rest of your life. That's where it's going. Duckie

5. I have a friend like that and a brother who is a door mat also |
|
No point in getting frustrated its her choice. Just be thankful he is not your man.
I told my friend not to ever complain about her man to me because she obviously doesn't want to do anything about it I also change the subject when she tries to make excuses for him. My brother married a real bitch before the wedding I told him it was his mistake and not to complain about it latter. My dad actually told him his wife was a black whole and sucking the life out of him. I thought that pretty much summed it up :)

I had to tell my best friend to either do something about it or shut up. Her bf is a serious alcoholic and jekell/hyde type when he's drunk. I've been listening to her moan about it for 4 years. Enough I said, finally. I think some people just like to complain and they put themselves in situations that give them plenty to complain about. The victim role seems to be a comfortable one for a lot of people, especially women.

9. Programming of her dream man is her father, for better or worse. |
|
Takes a woman w/strong intelligence, will and wisdom to overcome it. Think of it as going manual and managing the most basic thought processes until you reprogram yourself to appreciate an objective ideal. Most pepes don't have that type of awareness, self-control or desire to change enough, and sucumb to their circumstantial type.

10. I feel like saying give me her email address |
|
I was like that in my first marriage because of religion, I have changed over the past 25 years. Low self esteem also. I wish I could say something to help you snap her out of it but so many tried to talk to me and I wouldn't listen. Just like with Bush, swallowed the koolaid. Its like a drinker that has to hit bottom sometimes.
I am very happy to not be like that anymore. She sounds young so probably wouldn't read self help but the books that turned me around were on co-dependence and they show you why you stay with people like that. As soon as I saw it had to do with family dianamics and my fathers drinking and both parents not giving me much attention as a kid I went to see a counselor and got out of the mess.
I hope you have some time before she moves to keep working on her. Good luck.
