Got any good tips on cheating? |
|
I have mid terms on Tuesday and I can't concentrate because I am so wound up over the election. I have been waiting for this day to come for 4 f.ing years and it's here.
I need some tips on how to cheat on a test or how to memorize the Evelyn Woodhead way.

4. I feel for you, I cannot imagine taking a test on Nov.2!! |
|
Cheating isn't a good idea though. When I had particularly wretched tests I would get to sleep as early as possible, set the alarm for 3am, pop the 'no doze' on the nightstand, and go back to sleep. I would be up by 3;30, wide awake. I would then study for X# of hours. It worked extremely well for me.
Don't turn on the TV, computer, or radio until your test is over (THAT will be hard).
Good Luck.

11. I'm going to miss it, too, for I'll be working until 1am. |

But I'd like to echo what alittlelark said. Don't cheat. For one thing you won't feel good about yourself knowing what you did. All good liberals have a conscience and it will catch up to you. For another, if you get caught you'll be in deep shit and will probably have to take an F for the class and will wind up on academic probation.

It's everything Bush never had, and it's what Kerry's demonstarted in spades.
Discipline.
Quit clowning around here, and hit the books. This is your chance of your lifetime.
Don't fuck it up. Get to work.

8. Take a shower BEFORE you go back home. |
|
And make sure your hair is dry when you walk in the door.
And...if you get caught, .... never, never, never admit to anything. Got it?
Oh, you meant on mid terms. Sorry. Can't help ya.

10. No but I had a study trick that worked for cramming |
|
This doesnt work for everyone but...
First find a place with no distractions. Then take the course syllabus, and the reading material and notes, and to a cadence in your head (trust me, this works) look at the material covered int he test, find the material in the notes and skim a few spots in each section. Do this to the cadence. That way it becomes like an earworm and gets stuck in your head all day. This sounds silly, but trust me it's a way to push a D into a B.

14. I cheated on my constitution test in 8th grade |
|
I had been on the honor roll for years but when it came to the constitution it didn't stick. I ended up writing it on my legs and I wore a dress with knee socks. I felt guilty after it was over but you couldn't get out of 8th grade if you didn't pass the test.

18. I cheated on some big English test in the third grade |
|
It was only a little cheating. I had trouble remembering what the different types of sentences were (interrogative, imperative, someothers that I obviously forgot) so I wrote letters on my palm to remember. I got all the questions right. It was a test that the teacher gave every year for her whole 20 years in teaching. I was the only student to have gotten all the questions right. She bragged about me to everyone. I felt awful, but I wasn't going to admit it and get in trouble, as well as hurt her. I never cheated after that.

My college had an honor code. We had to sign and often write it out and sign any paper or test. As a result, some of our professors let us take tests unsupervised. About halfway through the term, I was taking an organic chemistry quiz in an empty room with my text book under the desk that I was sitting in. I was getting a D in this class and was having trouble remembering the synthesis for about half the questions on the quiz (We had to memorize those). I actually picked up the text book and thought about it for a moment before slamming it down. "No, I have honor, " I screamed in my mind. That really hurt.

Get off the internet now and go study. Turn off the tv and the radio and any other sources of distraction. Take the exam and then go cast your ballot. You will be missed but we are (mostly) an understanding lot. We will hear from you again on Tuesday after your exam.
