Nothing to kill or die for. Here's George Bush's cover of Imagine (with Lou Reed's Wild Side thrown in). http://www.tuff-teach.com/pics/imagine.mp3

Nice mix. I am disturbed and amused at the same time.

Maynard Rocks.
Tool Rocks.
APC Rocks.
Did you like their own remake of the "The Pet"---and the video--"Counting Bodies..."? I thought it was awesome---posted here awhile ago---think I'm going to get the same response tonite though.

7. oh yeah, I saw 'counting bodies' and after it was over |
|
I stared at my screen for 5 minutes...stunned.
As for the response, we all can't be super-enlightened musical enthusiasts...we listen to thinking-man's music.
If you like APC/TOOL, you MUST LISTEN TO FAILURE! ON 13th step, "the nurse who loved me" is a cut from a failure album "Fantastic Planet" and Ken Andrews/Maynard did an album called The Replicants. You have to check out.

Thanx for the heads up--didn't know that. I will definately check it out.
Question, were you ever a fan of The Cure? The melodies and guitar on some of the songs on 13th are reminiscent of mid 80's cure.

9. hell yeah...I think you'll find most really innovative bands have been |
|
directly influenced by The Cure.

4. The video was excellent. Of course, it made me cry. |
|
Lennon sang it much better, though, imho.

6. I think Lennon sang it better too. |
|
He sang it with more hope and inspiration. Maynard has added his own touch---sounds dark and forboding--like a last cry for help.

10. If someone is remaking Lennon I want them shot. |
|
NOW.
And I'm aware of the implied connection.

Although I do like "Mosh", I think this remake of "Imagine" and video is much better, not as original, but my opinion anyway.
