our foster Greyhound has a "FOREVER-HOME" |
|
Mint was officially adopted yesterday by a young couple. They have another greyhound (also adopted) and wanted a companion for him.
With some tears we said goodbye to Mint and sent her off with a "GOING HOME" present of a coat, toy and a bag of food. We'll miss her, and the new family is mighty lucky to get such a sweetie.
We will probably be taking in another foster greyhound after Thanksgiving -- our schedule from now til then is pretty full.

2. DOGGIE ADOPTIONS - Thank you |
|
Little heroic deeds, like adopting homeless doggies, is what builds character. We have a very grateful doggie living with us.

6. we'll hear from the family |
|
from time to time
the greyhound rescue org. has a GreyHound-Round up Reunion every year
all the adopted dogs are invited to bring their families for a big day of food and fun -- so we will probably see her again then

Mint and the lovely humans who adopted her, and you for the love and caring you give to all the Goddess's children. My own nine cats are all rescues, and each morning when I wake to their purrs and snuggling I know how blessed I am. Nothing is more powerful than enacting love in the world.

My Grey is the best thing that ever happened to me...a sweet 7 yo female. She ran until she was almost 5, then had an oops litter, now she's the keeper of the couches.
How long did you foster Mint?

she's b&w, small only 24"
our own greyhound is Sunny - 4 year old male B&W, stands about 30", weighs around 75lbs (now on a diet)
we also have an 8 year old airdale female -- Dax (also on a diet)
and 4 cats who refuse to diet

9. That's so nice of you to foster the dogs |
|
I don't think I'd be a very good foster pet parent; I get attached too easily and could never let them go. Sounds like a very lucky doggie all around. :hi:
