I've got my music collection on shuffle... |

and a whole bunch of songs are seeming awfully poignant. What songs are you listening to to get you through? And is this next set of four years going to mean a resurgence of brilliant songwriting?
Believe - Nils Lofgren "You fight so hard for some dignity In a world out of control I have seen hope whither beyond despair And great man's visions fail Yet everyday somewhere the sun does shine So don't tell me it's too late"
Reason to Believe - Bruce Springsteen "Struck me kinda funny seemed kind of funny sir to me How at the end of every hard earned day people find some reason to believe"
All that you have is your soul - Traci Chapman "Hunger only for a taste of justice. Hunger only for a world of truth."
by the way, some are just depressing "People Have the Power"...I don't recommend that one. How did we not wrestle the world from fools?

to put on Rage. I'm sitting quietly in my office, hoping no one will bother me, and looking for some mellow, melancholy, strangely hopeful folkie stuff to get me through. Am too tired and emotionally exhausted for Rage, but I have no doubts, give it a couple of days, and I'll be Raging all over the place.

Thanks for mentioning it. I wasn't even aware of it - or even very familiar with Green Day before this. Thanks!!
