Looking to the future in the Senate... |
|
Daschle is out and that sux big time. But, who should be the new Minority Leader in the Democratic Party. I know conventional wisdom says the very talented Harry Reid and he probably will get it. He's a great guy. Brilliant. Congenial. SCREW THAT -- Too Nice and he's anti-choice. Diane Feinstein. Great orator. Most powerful politician in California -- she could elected God there. SCREW THAT -- Too Willing to compromise and she supports a constitutional amendment prohibiting flag burning.
I want mean, I want nasty, I want obsessive, I want unforgiving, I want vengeful (I know I'm venting). I have 3 choices that I want to put out there and hear from other DUers:
Barbara Boxer: Meaner and more ruthless than Gray Davis. And she just got re-elected. The pukes know she can't be beat. Plus, she doesn't appear to have any intention on running for President.
Mikulski: Loud, obnoxious (in a Good way) and calls it like it is. I like her -- always have. She could and would keep the pukes on the defensive constantly. And she doesn't appear to be planning on running for the White House.
John Corzine: I don't know a lot about him, but friends of mine from the New Jersey area (NJ, PA and NY) say while he looks nice and peaceable, he's an ass-kicker. I like that.

You're not venting, in my opinion, you're being reasonable. We want someone who will tear into any weak spot the Republicans are dumb enough to expose, and tear out whatever flesh he or she can get to. We want a bulldog. We want a fighter. We want someone who will (metaphorically) kill people to fuck over the Republicans.

Tenacious, a bulldog.
And while I have a great deal of respect for her, I think the House Democrats should dump Nancy Pelosi. Just completely ineffective, IMO.
