That's it: No more coalition whiskey!
The best way for a man like myself to protest the Iraq War is to refuse to buy the coalition's whiskey.

That means ALL whiskey that is not Canadian, people!

Life without Bushmills? Maker's Mark? or even the Glenlivet?

I am weeping as I write this, but goodbye my friends. I do not blame you. In fact, you helped me through this war and this campaign and C's deployment. Sweet oblivion lay at the bottom of each sweet half-pint.

But it's Crown Royal for high-end tippling now, Canadian Club for gettin' crunk. Fine whiskies both, but hardly a sample of the whole fine world of whiskey.

BTW, I like whiskey.

7. Before our Whiskophile friend does something foolish
we should point out to them that the Republic of Ireland is an independent, neutral state, and furthermore 80% of Scots oppose the Iraq War.

10. Aye. There's much whiskey to be imbibed.
Just lay off the Jack Daniels and you should be fine.

6. From the north, so as British as Scotch
I read somewhere on here today the Republic was also in the coalition somehow, though they've no troops on the ground.

My friend did get drunk on Syrian whiskey in the Green Zone. hmmm...

Someone somewhere wrote that it was "in the coalition". Did we forget it?

16. OK. It's OK. I know how you can still drink the Bushmills.
See, Northern Ireland is technically a part of Ireland. It is claimed by the Republic of Ireland, but is currently occupied territory. You are helping the resistance in Northern Ireland against forced occupation by the British oppressor by buying their product. You are buying freedom! :D

I almost had that same thought formulated, but I drank too much Bushmills on election night and am still recovering.
