I must remember not to visit any forum but this one for the next 2 months
I am sickened by the blame game that is going on in other forums.

Honest, insightful, thoughtful analysis done once our rage and grief have settled a bit is one thing.

But lashing out at others is quite another.

That includes Kerry (we don't know everything yet and I simply cannot be 100% for a person one day and then tearing them apart the next, no matter how unhappy I was about the concession!) and fellow Democrats.

That does NOT include people who voted for bush and GOP operatives. Blame them all you want, they were always our enemy. Still are to me, even more so now than ever.

But damn, why don't we just stand in a circle and shoot? Ridiculous.

Let's see: Dean would have been better, Clark would have been better, Leiberman would have been better (WTF???). Problem: NONE OF THOSE MEN WERE THE NOMINEE.

We should have gone more left, we should have gone more right, we should have been more populist, we should have been more centrist, we should have kissed the DLC's ass.

Ug.

How about we should have caused all fundies to have massive diahrrea on election day? I'm ok with that one.

How about everyone who is bitching about what the Kerry campaign should and should not have done have to list everything they did for the campaign first?

I place the blame squarely where it belongs: the republican party, the bush-cheney campaign, and the assholes who voted for them.

Period.

I regret that I started the thread I started on Wednesday AM prior to Kerry conceding..I was distraught...I claim PTSD.

Now can you keep nursing this here thread? It's been my only salvation?

11. Very true ...
I blame the this uneducated society that we live in ... all the information is out there. You just have to know how to read to access it.

I like the lounge better anyway. It's not so bad to stay here for a couple months :) Things will settle down when people realize that we have to figure out what is going on with the Democratic party and how we can educate voters about their king. Uphill battle, but our energy won't be wasted with a discussion about that instead of the necessary venting going on right now. Gotta just let off some steam .... Skinner and the other admins were great to give us the fighting forum :)

I'm sorry for the horrid things I said about Christmas.

I'll try to have a good one this year, for all of our sakes. ;)

16. Thanks anti!
It shouldn't be a problem as the other forums look like train wrecks to me right now and seeing what some long time posters are saying is kinda breaking my heart.

Like I need it broken MORE right now.

15. I agree about 6000000000000000000000%
This to me is very painfull because we need each other more now than ever,we need humor and warmth and tasteless jokes where we all get it as humor. LONG LIVE THE LOUNGE and kitty threads ,sports rants, celebrity gossip and we must keep the copycat threads. copycat threads copycat threads.

17. Moonbeam, or maybe I should call you Shania,
you have made my night.

I was so depressed yesterday and earlier today, my husband was really concerned. I have to fly to Ireland later tonight to take care of an emergency that came up about our house there and it was the absolute last thing I wanted to do right now.

I'll be back next Friday afternoon and please, if you can, keep this thread going. It's absolutely hilarious. The funniest thing about though is I know people like this that live in my neighborhood in suburban Chicago. The only difference is that their Irish-Catholic and not some dumbass from a red state.

Also sweetie, you hit the nail on the head when you said "I place the blame squarely where it belongs: the republican party, the bush-cheney campaign, and the assholes who voted for them."

I'll give them no quarter. I want my country back!
