Saturday night drink thread
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 07:55 PM by Droopy
It's been a while since I've done one of these because I have to work most Saturdays now. This is the first Saturday since the Kerry surrender. I'm pretty bummed to say the least.

We've got Bev Harris and her crew working right now to expose the fraud that took place last Tuesday. Even though I'm all for that, I think it will take nothing short of a miracle to get this election overturned even if Bev can get proof of fraud. But Bev and company are our only chance right now and I'd like to salute them with a toast.

Everybody raise your glasses. Long live www.blackboxvoting.org May Bev Harris and her crew save our democracy. And remember she can't do it without you so make a donation if you can.

So what are you drinking tonight? I'm going with the old stand-by:
Miller Lite. It's cheap and affective.

Whatever you're drinking tonight feel free to post your own thoughts and feelings about recent events as well. Whether you're crying in your beer or fighting mad on some sour mash I want to hear about it.

1. ZeigenBock
middle of the road beer and a lil nutty..

I am a fighting mad type and like to raise hell with the biggest ugliest mofo out there...i usually get my wish, and high tail it when i actually get a mofo who wants to throw hands...i hate to get mussed..

i hate people who think rush is the savior of the free world...and I hate living in a state that physically looks good, climate is great, but all the airwaves have nothing but right wing vomit..:puke:

4. Yeah I'm with you on Texas
It's beautiful land. They've got a little bit of everything down there geigraphically speaking, but unfortunatly the majority of the population isn't too hip. That's being nice.

i love my state, and i love my country, but what makes up a country?

not just the landscape..

I like it back when my Grandma was around..a proud democrat, a lover of freedom like it is supposed to be...

now all i got is this lousy teeshirt and a beer :(

then again, wonderful people like what make up Austin and a few southern counties in Texas had the right idea..they made us smart Texans proud...

my heart is blue in the redlands..and funny..my favorite color is red...

i have cousins in Wisconsin, and have no idea how they voted..i DO know they are wonderful, witty, and happy people...im pretty sure they voted blue...

its pretty all over the US, and I have had the pleasure of seeing most of it, plus Mexico...wow, what a wonderful country as well!! I have met people from Mexico that knocked my socks off...no greater hearts than these!!

the zeigenbock has spoken, and im feelin no pain!!

14. The DUtini
I invented this a few weeks ago, and really like it. It's similar to a dry gin martini
2 oz gin-I use Bombay Sapphire

1 oz Wild Spirit

A splash of very dry vermouth

Shake over ice. Serve with olives or cocktail onions, or both, as appropriate.

when the liquor store can come to YOU?

http://www.hitimewine.com/

This place has a great selection of everything, good prices (IMO, your mileage may vary) and fast shipping!

The Wild Spirit gives it a nice, different bite. Slightly cocoa-flavored. Yum!

I think it's time to go downstairs and toast Bev Harris.

Just watched Votergate. She is doing a masterful job.

20. OK, pic posting 101
Go to http://www.photobucket.com and get an account
You'll be able to upload pictures to your account, and next to the picture after you upload it you will have a URL.
Copy it, and paste it into your post. That's all it takes.
Now, finding pix is much more a pain in the a$$. Maybe Mr. Scorpio will reveal his sources sometime.

and he posted this pic of this woman holding a Heineken bottle in between her breasts and her hooters were fucking huge.

31. Miller Lite
It's what I usually drink. I think I need to get more creative in my drinking, but what the hell, Miller Lite is a good gulping beer and it doesn't hurt my head too much.

I prefer Heineken or Stella Artois (sp?) but when bars have drink specials on Miller Lite or any other lite beer, I drink it.
