1. We have this effing nut in our town

who constantly writes about gays 'overcoming' their gayness and 'turning' straight. Every time he writes a LTTE, we give 20 bucks to the local PFLAG.

And I have to wonder exactly how he knows so much about this issue.
Seems like somebody is in denial.

That gave me an idea. Whenever one of the local anti-gay nuts spouts off in public - I'll donate to HRC or PFLAG - and I'll let him know it. That way, he know there is a consequence to his action.

5. I joined HRC on Wednesday (Human Rights Campaign)

that's their logo in my avatar. And I joined the Dallas chapter of PFLAG. I also am a member of Stonewall Democrats.

PFLAG is a very worthy organization. I can't wait to start attending meetings and functions, meet some like-minded people around here.

10. My husband and I give to PFLAG, the Lamda Legal fund

and our local Gay/Lesbian Resource Center every year.

Plus, we give extra every time we see some bigoted thing in the news, and then we email or send a snail mail letter to whoever did it.

When our congressman voted in favor of the Marriage Defense Act or whatever it was called, we donated moneny and then sent him a letter telling him how much we donated and that we did it in his name in response to his vote.
