My arm hurts.
We live on a bay.
My neighbor's boat departed his boathouse and took a section of our fence out during Ivan (remember him?).
Our old dog, Nasha, died four months ago (peacefully, in her sleep), so we don't need a fenced in yard any more.
Ace-the-cat doesn't believe in fences anyway.

Had to cut the fence off the posts. While struggling to roll up one section, I stabbed myself in the forearm with a sharp piece. About three inches below the elbow, right in the whatever that long muscle is. It is unbelievably sore. Like somebody punched me there.

I'm OK. Had a tetanus shot in August as a result of the Great Exploding Seltzer Bottle caper. Talked to my doc, & she said I'm OK, just make sure no infection. Flushed it with peroxide a couple of times. Must have been fairly deep puncture. Sore as hell, down to the wrist. Muscle punctures take a while to heal.
I think this will be a Tylenol P.M. night.
Damn.

1. Try Vicodin
It's a magic pill that makes you realize Bush or Kerry, Kerry or Bush...who cares? They're both OK guys...

6. Peroxide my ass....go to the store and get some betadine scrub
and dip your elbow in it and soak it in that. Iodine is nature's perfect anti-biotic, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. THEN have your drink. :D ( I KNOW Mrs T is reading over your shoulder....tell her I MEAN it)

11. OTC?
Or prescription?
It was a plastic coated wire fence. I had just cut the piece that punctured. It wasn't rusty, clean and shiny.

13. Yes it is over the counter
you don't have to worry about tetanus but staph aureus is always a risk ..betadine scrub is very cheap insurance..especially since based on your post the wound was deep..soaking it for about a half hour greatly diminishes the chance of infection by killing any bacteria that got into your arm :D
