1. It's good. One problem I've found |
|
and maybe someone knows an answer...
One of my web pages has frames that I usually drag the borders on, to enlarge or shrink them. I can't drag the borders with Firefox.
That, and sometimes when I have three or more windows open and try to access a page with a plug-in like Java, it will stop responding, and when I do a ctrl-alt-del, it will shut down every open window, not just the one that's tied up.
Otherwise I love it. Blocks pop-ups better.

Hmm.. I haven't the experienced the crash problem, and I've used Firefox for some time now.
As an off the cuff guess.... Java tends to hog memory when it first starts. If you have too little memory installed (like 128M with WinXP), programs will respond very slowly.
Since you mentioned multiple windows... Do you know about tabbed browsing? That's the best Firefox feature. Hold Ctrl when clicking a link or use the right mouse button. No reason to open multiple windows, and that wastes resources.
In regards to the frames, no idea. Some things might not work perfectly (yet) if the web page was coded with Internet Explorer in mind.

3. If you want some real fun... |

...type in "about:config" in the URL bar. This gives you ALL of the settings to change. Go nuts!
