Why was Olbermann talking about the Enormous Egg? |
|
I can't watch it tonight and just saw the tail end. What was the story on that?
Thanks.

1. Because a character in it was used to name a new Bush dog, |

MR. Bigsley I think, anyway, that book was written by a Dem as a mockery to the McCarthy Red Scare in the 1950's

2. The BushCo Twinkies have named their new puppy "Miss Beasley" |
|
apparently after a character in that story named "Uncle Beasley." The author's son says his dad was a Democrat and that the story was written in response to the McCarthy hearings and that his dad would like the dog's name because "he liked irony."

In 4th grade every day after lunch our teacher would read aloud to us a book, and that was one I fondly remember because I was surprised the chicken hatched a triceratops! I still have a dog-eared copy of it somewhere, along with the Shy Stegosaurus of Cricket Creek...
Despite this news I will still love that story...And I didn't know that about the McCarthyism connection, either! That is really cool!
