Pole dancing classes for British teens cancelled
Damn this could have been the bounce that the American DOLLAR needed.

LONDON (AFP) - A plan to teach British children the risque art of pole dancing, usually the preserve of strip bars, has been cancelled after an uproar from child welfare groups, the teacher said.

Dance teacher Sarah Davis announced pole dancing classes for children over 12 at her studio in Birmingham, arguing it was a demanding activity which would improve fitness.

But the children's charity Childline, which campaigns on behalf of abused and at-risk youngsters, condemned the lessons.

"At the least this is misguided, at worst it's an outrage," said its chief executive Carole Easton.

"There are hundreds and thousands of other, much more appropriate ways in which children can keep fit, enjoy sport and dance."

1. No matter her other talents, dance teacher Davis seems to lack...
...enough savvy to simply call it something different -- "interpretive stage dancing" or whatnot.

5. I don't understand. It's a sweet innocent custom.
What ever is wrong with pole dancing?

7. As "Men without Talent" once said
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance

We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance
Danc¨¦e!

We can go when we want to
The night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat from our hats to our feet
And surprise 'em with the victory cry
Say, we can act if want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude and totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile

I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody takin' the cha-a-a-ance

Safety dance
Is it safe to dance
Is it safe to dance

S-s-s-s A-a-a-a F-f-f-f E-e-e-e T-t-t-t Y-y-y-y
Safe, dance!

We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it
Everything'll work out right
I say, we can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine

Is it safe to dance, oh is it safe to dance <6x>
Is it safe to dance
