NBA Bans Raptors Star Vince Carter From Using IPod in Warmups
NEW YORK - Vince Carter has to listen to his favorite tunes on his own time.

The Toronto Raptors (news) star was informed by the NBA that he no longer can listen to music on his iPod during the 20-minute warmup period before each game. Carter recently started listening to the music on his headphones, a violation of the league's rules on proper attire.

When the NBA heard about it, the league called the Raptors.

"We informed them that he can no longer do that," NBA spokesman Brian McIntyre said Tuesday.

Carter has said he listens to the music in order to focus before a game.

2. He's part of a team, that's why.
He's not out there on an island -- I'm sure his teammates didn't appreciate that he was shutting them out for the 20 minutes before the game started.

3. maybe he was listening to his Tony Robbins tapes?
awakening his personal power

I wonder if he will be allowed to listen to his iPod on the sidelines when he blows out his knee(s) again by mid-season.
