Hypocrisy thy name is National Football League
The NFL has feigned indignation in response to the prudes' uproar over the Terrell Owens/Nicolette Sheridan MNF intro.

The league issued a statement on Tuesday, calling the network's opening of Monday night's Philadelphia-Dallas clash "inappropriate and unsuitable."

Nicolette Sheridan in a towel is unsuitable, but half naked cheer leaders, beer commercials full of T&A, and dozens of commercials hawking erectile disfunction medications are?

3. it has nothing to do with nudity.
It has everything to do with race. That is the real reason for the outrage.

4. I totally agree
The wingnuts were outraged at the though of white/black sex.

The NFL's statement was just a CYA. In reality they could care less.

6. Exactly ...

When I saw it, first thing I thought was it was going to whip the closet racists into an uproar.

The hypocrisy here is really overwelming. People are complaining that football is "family enertainment" and that we must protect the children. (There's that phrase again >poof<, there goes my head.)

Anyway, family entertainment, eh. A game that is a methaphor for war and is based on violence is family entertainment. A woman in a towel is offensive. Okay ... just making sure I have the rules straight.
