Heard on the radio, but I missed all the details...

In a nutshell, this highschool has a traditional crossdressing day which dates back to some lost football wager in the 30s. It's gone on for decades without any opposition, but all of a sudden, in Bush's Murika, some member of the PTA decided that crossdressing = the promotion of homosexuality in school, and managed to get it cancelled.

And what was "crossdressing day" replaced with, in Bush's Murika? Why "dress like a soldier day", of course, 'to support the troops'.

As if these kids won't be playing soldier for real in a couple of years.

I'd love an official link, if anyone has one...

2. They should have called it "make little girls feel like shit day"
because that was the entire purpose of their little backwoods social "experiment". the boys dressed up like girls and the girls dressed up like boys so that the girls would know how "hard" it is to be a boy.

Btw, the day was never called "cross-dressing day" it was called "TWIRP" day ("The Woman Is Requested To Pay." )

but since the red-state saints still have their pink frilly panties in a wad so soon after their patriotic homophobic march to the polls, they've decided to refer to it as "cross-dressing day".

more repuke family values.

3. Apparently, they scrapped it

And replaced it with "Camo Day," as you know. Both ideas, to me, were really bad.
