By the way, our dog's name is Hotai. We call him Ho-Ho sometimes.

and cant remeber what Hotai means, Tai means big or great, but ho can have a lot of meanings. I think in one dialect it is the name for Buddha. But I cant remember. That was 25 years ago.

If you've ever seen the fat, bald, smiling statue of Buddha in a Chinese restaurant, that's Hotai.

We named our 'pei Hotai because he is a very happy dog. Freakishly so, for a pei.
