|
He seems to be getting a bit worse each election cycle.
Hey, I have no problem electing someone overweight, but I think if he is considering '08, he should start losing some weight.
And as someone else here said, it's just not healthy.

19. that's what happens when you're robbed in the worst way.... |
|
and you know it....and you can do nothing about it.
It's sort of like a dude with all the qualifications to be the top man at a company getting screwed out of it by a dude with connections and no ability.
then you are forced to watch as an unemployed ex-employee as this stupid underachiever runs your company into the ground.
Break out the Ben and Jerrys. It's another long 4 years for GORE in his own personal wilderness.
BUt hey. He should sign on as a spokesperson for 24hour fitness. Then he can work out wherever he goes....and trim down a little.
Hey, if Monica Lewinsky can do it....

First I think he looks fine. But what the hell is it about people that just has to beat the living shit out of another human being. Here we sit around and say how tolerant and peaceful and all-loving we are, then we just annhilate others over the most unimportant things imaginable.

24. Not sure it is unimportant.... |
|
...not least because it does raise health concerns. Anyone thinking AG could yet be the man would/should be perturbed.
More cynically, I think a "healthy" bigness is no bad thing, image-wise (assuming his health is ok). With the beard, I thought Al was very avuncular and reassuring looking. Made him look wise and presidential in Santa Clause-Philosophy professor kind of way.
But of course, that could be the last thing the electorate wants.

35. Isn't it a sad commentary.... |
|
because the truth of what you say (that it is becoming more common in men) will be the thing that motivates better testing procedures and more aggressive diagnosis. Right now, the testing misses a lot of people, many of them women, who are told to NOT BE TIRED, or they must be depressed, or they are eating too much when they are living on rabbit food.

25. Did you notice that Clinton said he thanked Gore "for the challenge |
|
I'm still trying to live up to??" (after the building effieciency comments)
Very coded personal language, I think, and at the same time, a very public olive branch and acknowledgment that Clinton screwed up enough to hurt Gore in 2000.

Because I like People in fighting shape and Al Gore is letting himself go.
Somebody needs to get a hold of him and make him realize it can be fun to eat sensibly and exercise. It saves on hospital bills and tragedy in the end.
At least you have to try.
