Wow ... I channeled into my inner hatemonger this evening. |

It began when I did that thing I shouldn't do but do anyway because of the same genes that force me to rubberneck at car accidents:
I switched on Sean Hannity. He had on Ann Coulter and a liberal I don't readily recall, but it really didn't matter since Hannity allowed Coulter to repeatedly step all over his responses. That evil c*ntbag really hit a spot in my psyche tonight, and out popped this visceral-yet-lucid dark personality. For the rest of the 35 minute commute home, I just let this hilariously foul aspect of myself rant and vent, and I wish I had had a tape recorder handy, because it was freaking brilliance. The kind of thing I wish I could release as easily in a stand-up routine or at an open mic. It was like I had put on Jim Carrey's "Mask".
Anyone else have an experience like this? It was a much needed diversion from the depression I've been feeling for the past 2.5 weeks.

1. LOL yeah that sounds like me sometimes |

Don't worry, you're not the only one. I've said the F word many more times than I usually do since the elections. I've also become intolerant to intolerant people. The old "I agree to disagree" just doesn't seem to work with me anymore.

I'm already pissed and driving. I just scream at the radio until I feel all better.

Definitely, I have lost all tolerance for the intolerant also, but instead of turning them off, it is more fun to SCREAM at them. Especially Sean Hannity. I wonder if he has any idea how many people he causes to rant like this.
I don't call in to his show but I do periodically go to his website -an amazing commercialization of himself and his pals. He has really WEIRD links too. I am especially carefuly to pay attention to whoever his advertisers are so I can be sure not to accidentally spend money at any of them. Kinda miss Ruth Chris' Steakhouse though. When I get especially fed up, I send him e-mails.

4. I think I've decided that my calling ... |
|
... is to peel off the scabs and leave the sores bare and stinging. There's a lot of deep-seated resentment that a lot of liberals are feeling right now, but are afraid to give it voice and let it be heard.
I think I'm finally to the point right now where I just don't care. Fuck 'em. Let them see the hate that hate made. Make them squirm in their shoes. And if I can get in front of a microphone on open-mic night in Nashville or Bowling Green and vent like I vented today ... and manage to make it back to my car without getting killed ... I might have just discovered my calling.

... reminds me a lot of the movie "Talk Radio", Barry Champlain (and his real-life counterpart, Alan Berg).
I really wonder when one of these guys is going to wind up a statistic.
