It's official....I'm no longer overweight..... |
|
As of today I am the ideal weight for my height/build. 40 lbs. lost in 3 and a half months. I'm going to go for a few more lbs, since I'm still at the top tier of my weight/height/build acceptability and I'd like to be more towards the center of the range, but I am no longer in the overweight category.

That's a lot to lose in such a short time. How did you do it?

4. I started out by watching sugars and starches..... |
|
I had no problem cutting back on the pasta and rices and such but I'm a sweets fiend. So I had to find enough snacking/sweet sugar subtitutes to satisfy that end of things. I lost about 15 lbs. doing that within the first month, but then went to a more low calorie diet coupled with that, but most importantly going to the gym at least 4-5 days a week.
It was extremely difficult but very rewarding.

You Go! That's the bomb! oops can I say that anymore? :-) you did good! So rice is bad too? Bummer! What kind of work out are you doing at the gym? I think that's what really helped you take the pounds off so fast.

6. I do a solid hour at the gym.... |
|
I do a half hour of weight training and then a half hour of cardio. But mixing up the cardio is important because after a few workouts on one machine at a particular pace your body becomes used to it and burns fewer calories. So switching machines/routines or going a lot faster are the only options to keep it effective for weight loss rather than simply weight maintenance.

7. Know what you mean, and good for us! |
|
I used to be technically "overweight," and now I'm just at the upper tier of weight for my height. I've lost 15 lbs or so of fat, and put on whole bunches of muscle -- I have muscle definition in places where I never even used to have muscles.
Yaaay us! Hooray for our side!

I've managed to lose weight too. I've dropped close to 18 lbs in the past three weeks.
I am curious though, where exactly do you find out what the correct height-to-weight ratio is?

Now that you've accomplished this, you may realize that you can accomplish anything if you focus and make it a priority. Your new goal is to remove some dead weight from the White House.
