I need to know so I can plan what time I wake up and leave out there because a bike is my only means of transportation and I need to get somewhere at 7am on thanksgiving for roadside assistance for a youth soccer tournament, they're paying well and I need the $$.

3. I shouldn't expect much traffic on an early Thanksgiving morning, right?

7. Depends more on hills...
A couple of really big inclines can lower your average dramatically.

8. Actually not many hills here
Mesa in spanish is "table", it got it's name because from the sky it looks like a flat area that is higher elevated from the neighboring cities so it kinda looks like a table. :)

4. Depends on traffic, how fast you go, how old the bike.

How out of shape you are. A moderately fit person can go about 10-12 miles an hour, not counting stops. If you're pretty fit and get lucky with traffic, you could do it in an hour, but you might want to give yourself an hour and a half to have some wiggle room.

Now, a REALLY fit person on a fast bike can average 17 to 20 miles an hour....

(edited for missing words)

5. Normally I can do that in about 10 minutes
Oh, you mean one of those things with pedals? My wife used to go on 30-40 mile rides and would average about 12 mph on differing bike trail conditions.

6. Allow for an hour
Make sure you have a light, show up a little early, get a little rest before your duties and thanks for your service for our youth.
