I love happy postings like this. Especially ones about food. I would be eaten alive in the GD. I like blueberry pancakes with cream cheese. I can't have it often because it is so fattening.

Some people like them next to the pancakes, and with syrup all over them... but meat and syrup? Yuk! :-) I will eat them separate!

Maybe the pumpkin pancakes have a Jack O'Lantern face on them?
They sound good! I love pumpkin pie, so I think I could handle the pancakes. :-)

8. What is Log Cabin syrup? |
|
I like real maple syrup but in my whole life I only found one place that serves it (for an extra $1). I would gladly pay $1 for it, but no other pancake place has it at all. Maybe I will resort to the Seinfeld solution of carrying my own wherever I go for pancakes. -ll

I like the fakey stuff in a plastic bottle to a point. Real maple syrup is too watery and bitter or something. One redeeming quality of Log Cabin is that it is the only prefab stuff to have actual maple syrup in it. :-)

14. Reminds me of a story |
|
A family brings one of its daughters in for psychiatric evaluation.
The psychiatrist is puzzled, because the girl seems perfectly rational and lucid. "So why do you think your family brought you in?" the pychiatrist asks.
The girl shrugs. "I don't know. They just put me in the car and brought me here."
"Have they been complaining about your behavior in any way?"
"Well, they criticize me for liking pancakes."
The psychiatrist is even more puzzled. "That's nothing. I like pancakes myself."
The girl gasps with delight. "You like pancakes? That's fantastic! You'll have to come over to my house. I've got a whole closet full of them!"

19. I always thin the batter after I make pancakes for my husband.. |
|
Edited on Fri Sep-19-03 10:21 PM by SoCalDem
I like mine super thin... and after I pour the batter onto the skillet, I raise one side of the pan and let the excess "runoff" to make it even thinner :)

There must be a difference? Without a difference the world will spin off into the void and most likely crash into Bush's WMDs.

Also crepes filled with sauteed apples. Also the harvest grain pancakes at IHOP...but the pumkin ones sound wonderful. Have to try those. Maybe that's just through the Halloween season? Go quickly, hurry, eat pancakes, yum!

27. We have a little restuarant in our little town |
|
that serves the best breakfast. Wheat toast, 4 big, thick slices of bacon, eggs over easy, not greasy and if you order a pancake make certain you say a small one, cuz the small occupies a dinner plate. The large - well, I only did tried it once and that was painful it was so large. With coffee its about $4.50.
Great, its bed time and I want Saturday brunch already.
