Here's my dream - interpret it for me
Seriously, I woke up and thought: What the h*** was that all about?

The first I remember of it, is that I'm arriving at what looks like some sort of beach resort, only it's placed entirely on the water (there's no land to be seen anywhere). After the usual bit of bathing etc. I start to wonder what I'm doing there and start exploring the place. So I wonder into this room where I'm told that I can sign up for a boat tour, which I of course do. I then look into a room next door and see a whole row of people seated at computer desks, all of them are wearing headsets and they're looking really concentrated.

I then go on that boat tour, where all of the sudden I pull out a map of sorts and realises the problem: I've started at the wrong place, and I need to go to some village in order to restart the game. The next thing I remember is that I arrive in the village, where everything is drawn as if it was a cartoon or a computer game.

And that's when I woke up and went: What the h*** was that all about?

1. Well, at least it wasn't a wet dream... that would cause a lot of trouble.

Anyway, have you been watching Tron and episode of The Prisoner, and melding them into a new series in your sleep?

3. Have you been working a lot lately?
It sounds like it could mean that you need a vacation. Some time to play as in a computer game. The people in the resort that were working could mean that work is becoming too big a part of your life and it intrudes on you when you are trying to enjoy yourself.

4. Could have many meanings
depending on your dream experiences before. If you've had anything about boats, water, computers, or games before, it would make this dream more significant, especially if you've intuited them as symbols of some sort.

If all this is new, dream wise, it could be a reflection on something you've seen lately or a decision you've had to make/are going to make soon.

The basic message seems to be that you can start over, that you have a second chance. The idea that it is all a game fits in with mystical philosophy, which basically says that this life is all a dream, a play, or a game in which we participate.

Hope these thoughts are helpful.

5. you feel the need for
solid footing ...so to speak...in your life...u feel afloat in life..and it feels unreal..even like a cartoon or computer game...u want to find a beginning that is you..and is solid ground to build from in finding who u are...who u are...not at a resort or tour or comic strip or computer game..someone elses idea of what life is...but the real u that is your life.

6. My Britney Spears dream
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 03:55 PM by sui generis
at some point last night I woke up laughing after remembering a snippet of a dream:

Was at a friend's house in LA and all were preparing to turn in for the evening. He happens to do marketing and showed me his good friend Britney's latest perfume called "Assflower". He showed me one of the sample foldover cards, and the printing on the inside said: "Assflower: you've never smelled a fragrance like this before."

Presently, there was a knock at the door and Ms. Britney herself staggered in, quite drunk, with her hair piled on her head wearing a pair of old sweats. She weaved toward the ottoman, plunked down on it, missed, collapsed behind it and farted noisily.

Assflower: You've never smelled a fragrance like this before!

What could it possibly mean?

8. You are coming down to visit us
and instead of going to the beach, you sit all day on the computer at the DU LOUNGE. You just can't escape.

9. ..
.. that's creepy, I must admit I did that for quite a while during this summer - but then again, the weather was a bit so-so, and tanning is not my number one favourite passtime in life :D

10. water has to do with emotion good or bad...
Edited on Fri Nov-26-04 04:09 PM by bettyellen
you can drowned of float or be coddled and envigorated by it, it all depends, but watre always surrounds us, like our emotions can...
theres a contrast here about being surrounded by all this water and then all the rational computers. And in the end the water is just phony, made up by the rational computers? Interesting. Is there something going on that your more detached about than most others?
