Report of the Defense Science Board Task Force
on Strategic Communication trashes the President, The White House and the Republican Party. But it also shows up the Democratic party as not being an opposition which could be effective.

It is truly amazing read.

I picked up the pdf file from

http://justworldnews.org/archives/001005.html#more

"This Task Force concludes that U.S. strategic communication must be transformed. America’s negative image in world opinion and diminished ability to persuade are
consequences of factors other than failure to implement communications strategies. Interests collide. Leadership counts. Policies matter. Mistakes dismay our friends and provide enemies with unintentional assistance. Strategic communication is not the problem, but it is a problem. "

If I was the President, this indictment alone would have led to my immediate resignation!!

Every para virtually is on the same lines - what has been done wrong, what has to be done to correct it (but is not being done), who is at fault. It has been put diplomatically, as should be in a document like this, but the message is crystal clear IN EVERY LINE.

At one point it talks of the numerous reports that have been prepared since 911 and it says:

"The number and depth of these reports indicate widespread concern among influential observers that something must be done about public diplomacy. But so far these concerns have produced no real change. The White House has paid little attention. ..."

This is a total condemnation of Bush and Powell.

No wonder it was kept under wraps before your election.

It talks in "glowing" about the total arrogance, ineptitude of the administration. It tells of things that they have done in a manner that points the finger of blame directly at the pResident!!

If the mainstream media does not pick this up and run, if John Kerry does not pick this up now and run, if the Democratc Party does not pick up this and run, if every Democrat does not shout about this from the rooftops, American democracy is gasping its last breath.
