Will a " Deist " ever be elected US President again ?
Or will it be too much for Conservative Christians to handle ?

Entertain yourselves with this question .

Deism (n): Belief in God as revealed by nature and reason combined with a disbelief in scripture, prophets, superstition and church authority.

2. Not for at least 50 years.
A majority of Americans (certainly NOT me) seem to expect our Presidents to be members of denominational established churches. I personally see absolutely no reason why a deist, or agnostic or an atheist couldn't be President.

3. It would be nice if they could be
and that religion wouldn't be a factor in political success.

4. The Founding Fathers were diests
To the founding fathers, God was the "master clockwinder of the world" who did not care about the petty affairs of man.

In ancient times, the pharoahs believed themselves to be annointed by the gods to lead. Sounds familiar?

Draw your own conclusions. Mine is this: We are entering the new dark ages.

5. Will ANYONE ever be elected US President again?
I believe the Dominionists were complicit in the Diebold scam, which still has not been disproved to my satisfaction. They believe that whatever they decide to do is right because they were saved, and therefore infallible. They also have 3 of the 3 CEO's for the voting machine companies.

6. Maybe after the Revolution.
Not before, though. Maybe the hardcore fundies will have to run things long enough for the majority to become so thoroughly disgusted with religion that it will be banned from public life for a generation. I'm expecting that to take awhile though.

I guess the Iranians are starting to get tired of living in a theocracy. If it can happen there, it can happen here too.

7. Nothin' but phoney Xtians
Churchs choose the candidates and the sheep vote accordingly even if it is contrary to their own interests.
