I have my own, different embarrassing confession |
|
I like Spam. Once in a while I get the biggest craving for it. I go to the store, get me a can, come home and fry it up and eat it as a sandwich with mustard. YUMMY!! I do that about two or three times a year. Who else likes Spam?

I don't bother buying it, since I'm the only one that eats it.

And I enjoyed it.
A friend from Guam brought one of his family's traditional dishes to a football-watching potluck party. It consisted of chunks of Spam, green beans, whole cloves of garlic, and some kind of barbecue sauce cooked up in a casserole dish.

22. Worst college recipe ever |
|
Melt a big jar of grape jelly in a saucepan on the stove.
Stir in lots of brown mustard. Or any kind of mustard you find.
Stir in lots of ketchup.
Throw in as many cans of Vienna sausage you can "liberate" from the local capitalist-pig-owned supermarket.
Simmer until hot.
I still can't believe we lived on this.

My mom and hubby love that stuff, only the original though. I bought the smoked version and it got a thumbs down. I don't think they enjoyed the little cans of Spam spread that Santa left in their stockings either.

But I'm sure it's really bad for ya. Probably consists of 3% salt, and 97% cholesterol and saturated fats.
But it tastes good. Especially with Miracle Whip.
