Hi everyone!

Ater 2 1/2 days without ower due to Isabel, i'm back online! Strangely enough, my DSL and phone line didn't go out at all :evilgrin:The power just kiced back in about 10 minutes ago (close to 8pm EST), so there's alot of happy happy people around here. I have my ac back on and watching the Miami/BC game os ESPN. I need some cream soda and candy bars, so drop me aline to say hi, and I'll be kicking much freeper and BFEE ass again!!!

3. You should have ben at my job today

I went in at 9am, left around 3:30pm...being the main baker in the afternoon, I did aminly laot of cleanup and strinking whatever food items we couldn't save. So i got a lot of polish and italia susage, some big old honey glaez ham, some turky breast meat, etc. We didn't have regualr power on, so I didn'tbother with the sodas--until the Pepsi guy gave me some Red Alert Mountina Dews :evilgrin: Wijtou normal power,w e had alot of stuff that would have lost anyway, so the boss said"once the strink items are scanned, get yours!" :evilgrin: I'll be back at work tomorow morning at 9am, but with the powr back (and the paychecks in), I'll buy a 12 pack of crea soda for the games i usually DON'T see on Sundays!

The hurricane itself? I've been through worse in Japan, but the wind damage was staggering to see here. There was one huge tree which had been blown out for the roots and knocked out our power. You would think that soeone had gone on a tree sawing tour with so many being down around here. Some fences had sections or entire sides just blown away--not merely bent, I mean BLOWN away down the street! Metal debris everywhere--my bank's brand new sign was smashed to bits! And for the locals who live near me, the Midtown Tunnel is flooded for the next 2 weeks :wow: So while I personally didin't suffer too much--except for the boredom Friday--Isabel could have been much, much worse.
